Okay, so we all know cats are fast. Really, really fast. Have you ever seen a cat run from a hungry Rottweiler? We can be pretty fast when we want to be. But really, what is the fastest cat? Well, that would be the Egyptian Mau, one of the oldest breeds of cats! The Egyptian Mau (which means "cat" in Egyptian) can reach up to speeds of 30 miles per hour! Now that cat has some scary neighbor dogs! Why is this? Probably because of their long legs, and a unique flap of skin extending from the flank to the back knee, which allows for great agility and large steps. Run, kitty, run!

Let the Cat-O-Lympics Begin!

Hello dear sports fans out there! As you may know by the excitement by your humans at your house, the humans' famed Winter Olympics have begun, and are well underway as sports are played, tricks preformed, and medals won. And don't forget those treacherous thrills, spills and injuries that comes with the heat of the game!

But what about us cats? We're ten times more limber and lean than those humans, right? Well, Fin, internet blogging sensation is hosting the first-ever 2010 Cat-O-Lympics! There will be many events, and, contrary to the name, any online animal species can join! Humans, just get over it. Super Bowl or Puppy Bowl?

Today is gonna be really fun! Whether you will be rooting for Colts or Saints during the Super Bowl, or a lot of *cute* puppies during Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl (don't forget the Kitty Halftime Show!), have a great time watching something! Me? I'm going to be watching mice...in my dreams. (Human, wake me when the Kitty Halftime Show is on, okay?)
